PRODUCTION
Our solutions focus on meeting our customers’ demand for eco-friendly and natural alternatives by offering plant-based replacements to the currently used non-sustainable ingredients for product formulation/production.
LIGNIN
WHAT IS LIGNIN?
One of the most abundant organic polymers found in the cell wall of plants, it is composed of much of the same compounds found in petroleum. Lignin biological role in plants include mechanical support, water transportation and stress resistance. Lignin is more frequently found as a by product of the pulping industry which is more focused on cellulose extraction. Lignorganic biochemicals are formulated using green chemistry from A –Z. We aim to offer you the best quality eco friendly chemicals for your needs
LIGNIN APPLICATION/INDUSTRIES
The versatility of lignin and the fact that it is composed of similar chemical compounds found in petroleum material makes it an excellent candidate for the production of chemicals or materials such as carbon fiber, vanillin, phenols, and BTX that can be further processed for dispersants, binders and adhesives etc.
END USER MARKET
As lignin has a variety of applications, Lignoroganic is focusing on applications that currently have a huge impact of our environment and in replacing petrochemical derived chemicals and materials. We produce sulfur free Lignin which can be functionalized for use in the cosmetics & skin care industry, as it has the following properties: UV blocker, antioxidant, antibacterial and emulsifier. Customizable particle size, porosity and purity makes our lignin suitable for a range of cosmetics applications, from use as microbeads in facial cleansers to utilisation in sunscreens and hair care products. Additionally, it can functionalized for use in the biobased chemicals, biofuels, substitute for black carbon in the tyre industry and an additive in bioplastics
HEMICELLULOSE
WHAT IS LIGNIN-FREE HEMICELLULOSE?
The second most abundant renewable biopolymer. Hemicellulose is a carbohydrate heteropolymer (structurally diverse), this enables use of the biopolymer as a hydrogel, stabilizer and bio-binder in multiple industries. Subsequently, this also allows for its use as the key ingredient in the production of multiple chemicals
HEMICELLULOSE APPLICATION/INDUSTRIES
Hemicellulose can be used for the following applications: hydrogels, thickeners, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and binders in industries such as the food, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and cosmetic industries.
END USER MARKET
Currently, our hemicellulose division is still undertaking R&D. Following R&D completion, our hemicellulose will be applicable in multiple bio-based products, such as xylitol, glucose, hydrogels and bioplastics.
BIOPLASTICS
WHAT IS BIOPLASTICS?
Plastic made from renewable biomass material, these are considered a significant Eco friendly alternative to petroleum based plastics. Not all bioplastics are biodegradable with some being less biodegradable compared to petroleum based plastics. Biodegradable bioplastics are specifically essential for use in flexible packaging used in disposable food packaging.
BIOPLASTICS APPLICATION/INDUSTRIES
Bioplastics can be used for disposable packaging material, building and construction, rigid packaging, Textiles, electronics, Automotive & Transportation and Agriculture & Horticulture etc.
END USER MARKET
Lignorganic’s biopolymer range is produced from renewable natural resources. Our bioplastics are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and compostable. We focus on offering the highest quality of bioplastic whilst ensuring continued focus on environmental consciousness. In addition to being eco friendly, our bioplastics have UV filtering/blocking capabilities and can be used in a variety of industries
Lignorganic is currently developing a bioplastic material called Dissolv. Our aim is to ensure that Dissolv is not only comparable to conventional plastic packaging but can increase the shelf life of the packaged material and serve as a barrier not only to microbes but also degradation by UV light. Additionally, Dissolv has the ability to degrade in water into its organic components thus reducing environmental impact of plastics
LIGNORGANIC
LIQUID SOAP
WHAT IS LIGNORGANIC LIQUID SOAP
Liquid Soap is derived from the lignin extraction process as a by-product. The liquid soap is formulated from natural oils derived from waste plant material using green chemistry, hence, having zero harm to the environment. The liquid soap is biodegradable, eco-friendly, cruelty-free and parabens free.
LIQUID SOAP APPLICATION/INDUSTRIES
The liquid soap can be used for the following applications: labware glassware, dishes, steel pots, surface cleaner and as a handwash. (More applications to be added.
END USER MARKET
Focus will be on the multi-purpose cleaner segment.
